Okay, so I got this thing, this, uh, Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. Fancy name, right? I just call it my fancy bag. I’ve been wanting to do a remake of this one for a while now, and I finally got around to it.
First off, I studied the bag. It’s got this flap in the front and these rounded corners. Pretty neat, I guess. It’s got a square-ish shape, which they say is “refined.” Whatever that means.
Then, I started gathering my materials. I needed some good leather, a buckle, and some other bits and bobs. I’m not going into the details, it’s boring. But let me tell you, finding the right stuff took some time. I searched high and low, visited a bunch of stores, and finally got everything I needed.

- Added the buckle and other hardware
Putting it all together, that was the real challenge. It’s not like those flatpack furniture things, you know? I had to cut the leather, sew the pieces together, and add the buckle and other hardware. I messed up a couple of times, had to undo some stitches, and start over. It was a pain, I tell ya.
But, I kept at it. I spent hours on this thing, mostly in the evenings after work. My fingers got sore, my back ached, but I wasn’t giving up. I was determined to make this bag, and make it look good.
And you know what? I did it. I finally finished the darn thing. It took a while, but it’s done. And it looks… well, it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. It’s not exactly like the original, but it’s close enough. It’s got that same square shape, the flap, the rounded corners.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Why go through all this trouble? Why not just buy the real thing?” Well, where’s the fun in that? Plus, those designer bags, they cost a fortune! It’s like, five times the actual cost, just because of the name. Like this YSL, or Chanel, or Dior. You’re just paying for the name. This bag I made, it’s just as good, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Besides that, it was my handmade bag!
My Very Own Fancy Bag
So, there you have it. My adventure with the, ahem, Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. It was a journey, let me tell you. But I enjoyed it, most of the time. And now I have a fancy bag that I made myself. I carried it to the grocery store the other day, and I felt pretty darn special.
Would I do it again? Maybe. It depends on how bored I get. But for now, I’m happy with my fancy bag. And who knows, maybe I’ll start a new trend. Handmade designer bags. What do you think?
