Okay, let me tell you about this little project of mine. It’s about this bag, a “Perfect Copy Fendi Vitello King F is Fendi Logo Embossed Mini Mon Tresor Bucket Bag Cuoio Classic Style”. Sounds fancy, right? But it’s basically a mini bucket bag that I decided to, well, try and replicate.
So, I started with the basics. I got myself some calfskin leather, that’s what they use on the real ones. Then, I noticed this Fendi logo embossed on the bag. Embossed, that’s just a fancy word for saying it’s kind of stamped into the leather, giving it a nice texture.
- First, I had to cut the leather. This wasn’t too hard, just had to make sure the pieces were the right size for a mini bucket bag.
- Then came the tricky part – the embossing. Now, I don’t have any fancy machines, so I had to get creative. I found a piece of metal with a similar F logo, heated it up, and carefully pressed it into the leather. It wasn’t perfect, but it gave a similar effect.
Next, I saw these golden bars on the sides of the bag in the pictures, with a circle on each end, one with an “F” logo. I’m guessing they use real gold on the original, but I just used some gold-colored metal pieces I found at a craft store. I attached them to the sides with some strong glue.
The original bag also had this mesh detail, so I found some black mesh fabric and some black leather, tried to combine them to match what I saw in the pictures. It was a bit tough, but I managed to get a similar look.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the pieces, I started assembling the bag. It’s a bucket bag, so it’s basically a cylinder with a round bottom. I sewed the sides together, attached the bottom, and then added a drawstring closure at the top.
It took some time, a lot of patience, and a few mistakes along the way, but in the end, I had my own little “F is Fendi” mini bucket bag. It’s not exactly like the original, of course. I mean, I heard those Fendi Baguette bags are like, super valuable or something. They say it’s one of the LVMH, whatever that is. This is just my little homemade version.
It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of it. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot about working with leather and making bags. This Mini Mon Tresor, as they call it, it’s a challenge, let me tell you! Back in my day, we just had plain old purses. But hey, it was a good way to spend my time and it was fun to try and make something like this myself.
