So, I’ve been thinking about getting myself a fancy watch, you know, something to really show off a bit. And I’ve had my eye on those Rolex Submariners, especially the black ones. But man, those things are expensive! Then I started seeing these high imitation ones, and I thought, “Hmm, maybe that’s the way to go?”
My First Try
First off, I started looking around online, just to see what’s out there. There are tons of these high imitation Rolexes, and they all claim to be just like the real thing. I found a few that looked pretty good in the pictures, so I decided to order one.
- I wasn’t expecting much, to be honest.
When it arrived, I was pretty surprised. It looked really good! It had some weight to it, the details seemed right, and it even had that little magnifying glass over the date like the real ones. I wore it around for a few days, and I gotta say, I felt pretty good about it.
- Nobody seemed to notice it wasn’t a real Rolex.
Digging Deeper
But then, I started getting curious. How close is this thing to the real deal? I started doing some more research, comparing pictures, reading about the movements, all that stuff. I even took it to a jeweler, just to see what they’d say. Turns out, the jeweler spotted it as a fake pretty quickly. Said the movement was all wrong, the materials weren’t the same, little details like that.
- Bummer.
A Better One?
Still, I wasn’t ready to give up. I figured, maybe I just got a bad one. So, I started looking for a better high imitation. I found a seller who claimed their watches were practically indistinguishable from the real thing. They were more expensive, but I thought, what the heck, let’s give it a shot.
This new one was even better than the first. It felt heavier, the movement was smoother, and the details were even more accurate.
- I was impressed.
I took this one to the same jeweler, and even he had to look at it for a while before he figured out it was a fake. Said it was one of the best imitations he’d ever seen.
My Takeaway
So, what’s the point of all this? Well, I learned a few things. One, these high imitation Rolexes can be surprisingly good. Two, they’re still not the real thing. And three, it really depends on what you’re looking for. If you just want a watch that looks like a Rolex and you don’t care if it’s real or not, then a high imitation might be a good option. But if you want the real deal, you gotta be prepared to pay the price.
As for me, I’m still on the fence. Part of me wants to save up for a real Submariner, but another part of me is thinking, why bother when these imitations are so good? It’s a tough call.
Anyway, that’s my story about diving into the world of high imitation Rolex Black Submariners. It’s been a wild ride, that’s for sure!
