Alright, so I got this idea to mess around with a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster 38mm, the “Original order” version. I heard some folks say it’s a decent watch, especially if you’ve got, like, smaller wrists, which I do. It’s supposed to be a classic, right? So, I figured, why not give it a shot and see what the fuss is all about?
First thing I did was to look around for one. I went into those shops, you know, the ones that smell like old leather and money. I saw a bunch of shiny watches, but I was after that Speedmaster. I asked the guy behind the counter, a serious-looking fella with glasses, about it. He showed me a couple, explaining the differences and all that. I tried to look like I knew what he was talking about.
Then, I started reading up on these things. There’s a whole lot of history behind the Speedmaster, it turns out. Apparently, it started out being a favorite of race car drivers. Zoom zoom, you know? But this one, the 38mm, it’s a bit more… tame, I guess. Good for everyday wear, not just for when you’re pretending to be a race car driver. I did some more digging online, reading forums and articles. Some people were saying that getting a vintage, or older, Speedmaster is a whole other ball game. Lots of details to check to make sure it’s legit.
After a lot of browsing and comparing, I finally settled on one. It wasn’t too pricey, which was good. I mean, I wasn’t about to spend a fortune on a watch. It tells the time, it tells the date, it’s got those little dials that do… stuff. I made sure everything lined up nicely, the numbers were clear and easy to read. It felt pretty solid in my hand, not like those cheap knock-offs you see around.
- Checking the Serial Number: I learned that these watches have a serial number, like a secret code, that tells you when it was made. I checked mine and did some online searching to make sure it was legit.
- Trying It On: I put the watch on my wrist. It felt comfortable, not too heavy, not too light. The size was just right for my skinny wrist. I played around with the buttons and the crown, just to get a feel for it.
- Wearing It Out: I started wearing the watch around town, to work, to the grocery store, you name it. Just to see how it felt in everyday situations. Got a few compliments, too, which was nice.
So, after all that, what’s the verdict? Well, I gotta say, it’s a pretty nice watch. It’s stylish, it feels well-made, and it’s got those cool features. If you’ve got some cash to spare and you’re looking for a watch that’s a bit more than just a timepiece, this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster 38mm “Original order” might be worth checking out. Just make sure you do your homework first, like I did.
