Today, I wanna talk about my new toy – the OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, the classic style with the open case back. You know, the one that lets you see all the cool little gears and stuff inside.

So, I finally got my hands on this beauty. First thing I did was, obviously, admire it. I mean, it’s a Speedmaster! Then, because I’m a bit of a watch nerd, I wanted to peek inside. Not because I didn’t trust it or anything, but because I wanted to see the movement. It’s like looking under the hood of a classic car.

I remembered seeing something online about a red-wax dot that’s supposed to be there as a seal. Sure enough, mine had it. That was a good sign! It meant nobody had messed with it before me.

Now, this model has a crown with three positions. I figured out, like a normal person, that the first position is just the regular, wearing position. You know, when it’s all the way in, against the case. Pulled it out a bit. This is what I learned from somewhere. There are other positions to set time or date.

I learned that Omega Speedmaster is also known as the Moonwatch, because it’s always been connected to space and stuff. I spent a lot of time just reading up on the history. It was really interesting to learn how this watch was introduced way back in 1957 and how it became so famous.

The Speedmaster is a big deal in the watch world. I felt like I was holding a piece of history. Everyone’s always talking about how it’s legendary, and now I get it. It’s not just a watch; it’s like a story on your wrist.

Anyway, after geeking out for a while, I finally got to look at the movement. Seeing all those tiny parts working together, it’s pretty amazing. I’m no expert, but it looked perfect to me.

Getting this Speedmaster was a big deal for me. It’s not just about telling time, It is more than a watch.
