Okay, so, I got this watch. They call it a “High imitation Rolex No-Date Black Submariner, Original order.” Sounds pretty fancy, right? But it’s just a watch, a black one, and it doesn’t show the date. This is my journey with it.
I started looking around because I wanted a nice watch, but a real Rolex? Way too expensive. Then I heard about these “high imitation” ones. They said it looks the same, feels the same. “Original order,” they called it. Sounded good to me, so I decided to get one.
Getting My Hands on It
- I found a place that sells them. It wasn’t some fancy store, more like, you know, a discreet place.
- The guy showed me the watch. It was black, shiny. Looked pretty good, I thought.
- I tried it on. It felt heavy, solid. Like a real expensive watch.
I paid for it. Way less than a real Rolex, that’s for sure. Walked out with it on my wrist. Felt good.
Living with the Watch
I started wearing it every day. To work, to the store, everywhere. People noticed it. They said, “Nice watch!” I just smiled and said, “Thanks.”
This watch, it’s got that shiny part around the face, they call it the bezel. It turns. On a real Rolex, the writing is supposed to be super clear, and the date too. This one? It’s okay, I guess. Not as sharp, maybe.
But here’s the thing. I started to feel a little… weird. Like I was pretending or something. It’s a good watch, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not a real Rolex. Everyone thinks it is, but I know it’s not.
The Realization
I kept wearing it for a while. But then, I don’t know. I just stopped. It’s sitting in my drawer now.
I learned something, I guess. It’s not about having a fancy name on your wrist. It’s about being… real. This whole “high imitation” thing, it’s just not for me. Maybe one day I’ll get a real Rolex, when I can actually afford it, not just pretend to. For now, I’m okay with a regular watch. One that tells the time, and that’s it. One that’s honest, just like I want to be. That’s what I finally achieved.
