Hey guys, I gotta share this wild ride I just went on. So, I’ve always been a watch guy, right? But a real Rolex? That’s big money. Still, I really wanted a Two-tone Black Submariner, the kind you see on the official website, you know? The real deal. It just looks so classy with that gold and steel, and that black dial… Anyway, I knew I couldn’t drop that kind of cash, so I started looking into alternatives.
First, I hit up all the usual online spots, checking out the forums. A bunch of people were going back and forth about whether the blue or black version was better. I guess it is a tough choice, but I knew I wanted the black one. I saw some people talking about the price of a real two-tone submariner, they said it’s almost 130g, and it is less than 1/5 of it is gold. I thought, “Man, that’s a lot of money for a watch!” I even found some folks discussing how much gold is actually in those things. Not as much as you’d think!
Then I started digging deeper, looking for places that sell, shall we say, “inspired” versions. There were a few websites that looked kinda sketchy, but I did find some that looked promising. You could tell they weren’t the real deal, obviously, but they looked pretty darn close in the pictures. So I did some searching online, and I found some customer reviews. Some were good, some were bad, but I was determined to find a good one.
- I read a bunch of reviews for different sellers.
- Compared prices, pictures, everything.
- Narrowed it down to a couple of sellers that seemed legit.
Finally, I picked one that had a decent price, good photos and a few solid reviews. I placed my order, feeling excited but also a little nervous. I was expecting it to take a while to ship, but it came pretty quick! The package arrived, and I tore it open like a kid on Christmas morning. This one seller I used had a few options. They had the High imitation Rolex Two-tone Black Submariner and a High imitation Rolex Two-tone Blue Submariner, but I went with the black. I think the blue is pretty, but black is just classic.
The Unboxing
And there it was. It looked… really good, actually. I mean, I’ve seen real Rolexes before, and this thing was definitely in the same ballpark, at least visually. The weight felt right, the details were sharp, and the gold and steel gleamed just like I’d hoped. Of course, I’m no expert, but I was seriously impressed. I wore it every day since I got it. No one noticed it was not a real Rolex. And I did not tell anyone, either. My wife thought I was crazy spending money on a watch. But she did not know I spent much less money than the real one.
So, I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, I’m happy. It keeps time perfectly, it looks amazing, and I didn’t have to sell a kidney to get it. I am not recommending to anyone to buy a fake watch, but I am just sharing my experience. Is it a genuine Rolex? Nope. But does it give me the same feeling when I look at my wrist? You bet. If you’re like me and want that Submariner look without the insane price tag, it’s definitely worth considering an imitation. Just do your research, find a good seller, and enjoy your new bling!
Disclaimer: This is just my personal experience, and I’m not telling anyone to go out and buy a fake watch. It is not illegal to buy fake watches, but you should know what you are getting into. But hey, if you do, I hope your experience is as good as mine!
