Okay, so, I got this thing for the Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Rendez-Vous Moon. I wanted to get a good look at it, see what makes it tick, you know?
First off, I got my hands on one of these watches. Not the easiest thing to do, but I managed. Then, I started digging around online, just poking around forums and watch blogs, seeing what people were saying about it.
Getting into the Guts
I really wanted to see the movement inside. So, I carefully, and I mean carefully, took the back off. It was a bit tricky, you gotta use the right tools and not force anything. Moonphase Magic
The moonphase complication on this thing is awesome. It’s not just a picture of the moon, it actually tracks the real moon phases. I followed it for a while, making notes on how the little moon disc moved. It’s surprisingly accurate, which is cool.

Then, I wound it up and checked the time, made sure everything was still working. And yeah, it was running perfect and the moonphase was still going strong. So, that’s my little adventure with the JLC Rendez-Vous Moon. It was a fun learning experience. I mean, taking apart a watch like that…it’s not something you do every day.
